As a leading manufacturer of rotary joints and swivel joints, Showa Giken Industrial has been working together with its customers to steadily strengthen its technological capabilities ever since the company was founded in 1966.
Particularly with regard to compound technology for mechanical seals and bearings, which are the heart of our products, we are proud of our unrivaled expertise and knowhow, which has been built up over many years. Going forward, we will strive to further enhance both our technological capabilities and customer satisfaction.

Showa Giken Industrial's joint manufacturing is characterized by high-level cutting and welding techniques. Our high-performance machine tools are capable of ultra-precise finishing with tolerances of less than one-thousandth of a millimeter, while our high-end welding technology realizes satisfactory hardness even with complex shapes, which could not be achieved just by machining.

We undertake development of products that meet customers’ needs, according to the environment in which they will be used, and around 60 – 70% of our output is made-to-order products. As our products are used across such a wide range of applications, we have put in place the production equipment needed to handle small-lot production of a wide variety of different products, and as we are able to provide a comprehensive range of services from design and manufacturing through to maintenance, in line with customers’ requirements, our products are currently being used by over 1,000 different companies in many different sectors.

Our products play an indispensable role in factory production equipment and in society’s infrastructure.
Besides maintaining a close relationship with our suppliers and partner factories, we have also worked to strengthen our internal systems, with an integrated flow from design through to manufacturing and sales, so that we are always able to meet customers’ needs by providing the required quantity of products at the right time.
